At Evergreen Caregiver Support (ECS), we provide Professional Trainings, Consulting Services, and Policy Development tailored for caregivers, social workers, lawyers, and other professionals who work with system-involved families and youth. Our trainings cover a wide range of essential and specialized topics, including internet safety and warning signs of online grooming, parenting in the digital age, supporting LGBTQIA+ youth, racial equity and inclusion, and the unique needs of male survivors of abuse and trafficking. We also offer trainings on commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), first aid and CPR, and more designed to build knowledge, confidence, and skills for anyone supporting families and youth. Our consulting services are customized to help organizations and individuals improve outcomes for the families and youth they support while strengthening your confidence and capacity.
ECS was created by local caregivers and is independently run and supported. Beyond professional services, our website and especially our Facebook Group offers a welcoming space for caregivers across the Evergreen State (foster, kinship, and tribal) to share knowledge, tips, resources, and encouragement.
We invite you to explore our website, join the discussion on Facebook, and become part of our unique community dedicated to supporting families and youth in care. Though we come from different backgrounds and regions, we share the same goal: improving the lives of the youth we serve. Join us as we walk together on this remarkable journey we call parenting.
Evergreen Caregiver Support, LLC is a Washington State–based organization offering training, consultation, and policy development services to clients and organizations nationwide.

A Message from Our Founder
Welcome to Evergreen Caregiver Support. As a third-generation foster parent with over 20 years of experience providing therapeutic care, I know firsthand that navigating the child welfare system requires more than just good intentions—it requires unwavering support, specialized knowledge, and a community that truly understands.
Throughout my journey, which includes over 25 years of advocacy with MaleSurvivor, serving on the Washington State DCYF Foster Parent 1624 Consultation Team, and facilitating support groups for the University of Washington, I have seen where the gaps in our system lie. Caregivers are too often left to navigate complex trauma, shifting state policies, and digital-age dangers without the proper tools. Meanwhile, agencies struggle to find practical, field-tested training that actually shifts how care is delivered on the ground.
I founded Evergreen Caregiver Support to bridge those gaps.
A central part of our mission is protecting youth in an increasingly digital world. To give caregivers and children concrete tools, I authored the groundbreaking book Internet Safety Workbook for Tweens: With Olivia & Friends as well as the Internet Safety Coloring & Activity Book: With Olivia & Friends. These resources are designed to turn complex online safety concepts into accessible, engaging, and trauma-informed practices for families.
We operate on a dual mission. For foster, kinship, and tribal families, we provide a 24/7 peer-led sanctuary—a place to find community, share resources, and access bilingual support. For the agencies, social workers, and legal professionals who uphold the system, we provide expert Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) consulting and trauma-informed training. From reducing digital harm and online grooming to implementing SOGIE-affirming practices for LGBTQIA+ youth, our goal is to build safer, more equitable environments for our children.
Whether you are a caregiver looking for your village, or an agency seeking to elevate your practice, you don’t have to do this alone. We are proud to partner with you.
In community and solidarity,
Nathan Founder, Evergreen Caregiver Support
