Child Welfare, Judicial and Community Partners –
You are invited to attend the Building Family Partnerships (BFP) Statewide Virtual Convening on Dec 6 from 1-3 pm (PST). Please register via the link below, and feel free to share this invitation with your networks.
The BFP has recently concluded a series of 5 statewide listening sessions with the parent, foster parent, relative-kin caregivers, alumni and DCYF staff communities. This project sought to hear directly from individuals who have experience with the child welfare system on how to improve and support partnerships between parents and caregivers in WA state.
The BFP Convening will showcase representatives from each lived experience community presenting the overarching themes and recommendations to a leadership panel comprised of child welfare stakeholders, including DCYF leaders, legislative representatives and court partners. The leadership panel and each lived experience representative will have the opportunity to engage in open dialogue about the themes and recommendations.
The Convening is a follow up to the December 2020 Building Family Partnerships Town Hall meetings.
All attendees will receive an advance copy of the Building Family Partnerships Report via email prior to the Convening.
Attendees will be provided the opportunity to share their questions, responses, and reflections to the project.
Sincerely,
The Building Family Partnerships Team
