Artist Biography
Art has been a part of my life since childhood, although my creative journey has never followed a straight path. While I enjoyed art classes in high school, I was always more interested in exploring my own ideas and instincts than in following traditional assignments or techniques.
During a period of active addiction beginning around 2011, creating art became an intense and deeply personal outlet. I filled my compositions with interwoven shapes, faces, creatures, and hidden imagery, striving to create works that continually revealed themselves over time. I became fascinated with the challenge of merging countless individual images into a single, unified composition, inviting viewers to discover new details with every viewing.
In 2015, I began my recovery journey, and my artwork evolved alongside me. While I continued exploring themes of darkness, pain, and personal struggle, I approached my work with greater patience, intention, and intricacy. My art became a way to acknowledge my past while expressing resilience, transformation, and the hope that healing can create something meaningful from even the most difficult experiences.
My creative process has never been defined by consistency. I may spend months immersed in creating before stepping away for years, only to return when inspiration calls. When I do create, my goal is simple: to produce work that is meaningful to me, invites curiosity, and rewards those who take the time to truly look.
